FittMatch ("we", "us", or "our") operates the FittMatch mobile application and the website fittmatch.fit (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
By using FittMatch, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you disagree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as information generated through your use of the Service:
- Account information: email address, full name, city, and role (coach or gym/studio).
- Profile data: for coaches — certifications, specialties, availability, and rate expectations; for gyms — company name, logo, website, job listings, and studio description.
- Usage data: swipe history, match events, messages sent and received, and session activity.
- Device & push tokens: Expo push notification tokens to deliver in-app notifications; device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting.
- Subscription data: purchase history and entitlement status managed through Apple App Store and RevenueCat (we do not store raw payment card details).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account and profile.
- To power the swipe-and-match discovery experience.
- To deliver and facilitate in-app messaging between matched users.
- To send push notifications about matches, messages, and product updates.
- To process subscription purchases and verify entitlements.
- To monitor, diagnose, and fix technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party providers, each with its own privacy practices:
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and serverless edge functions. Data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL instances.
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase receipts and entitlement status.
- Expo / Expo Push Notification Service — cross-platform push notification delivery.
- Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting. Sentry may capture device and session metadata associated with errors.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- With matched users: when a mutual match occurs, your profile information becomes visible to the matched party within the messaging interface.
- With service providers: as described in Section 4, to operate the Service.
- For legal compliance: if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., dispute resolution).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.

8. Children's Privacy

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security policies on our database, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
